Overview

Motiv, a fast-growing fleet management company, needed a robust solution to track, monitor, and optimize the performance of its vehicle fleet. The aim was to minimize unauthorized usage, enable real-time location monitoring, and reduce operational costs through data-driven insights.

Challenge

The project required designing tamper-resistant tracking hardware with multi-network connectivity, and a cloud-based platform capable of managing hundreds of concurrent assets. Key challenges included ensuring reliable data transmission in remote regions, developing live vehicle dashboards, and integrating advanced analytics for route and fuel optimization.

Solution

We designed a compact, rugged GPS tracker with 4G/3G fallback and backup battery, paired with a secure cloud backend and user-friendly web/mobile apps. The platform provides live tracking, geofencing, trip history, driver behavior analysis, and automated maintenance alerts. Real-time notifications and analytics dashboards empower fleet managers to maximize efficiency and security.

Results

Within 6 months of deployment, Motiv reduced unauthorized vehicle use by 75%, improved route efficiency, and reported a 20% decrease in fuel costs. The system has become a core operational tool for their expanding fleet.
