Project Overview

Mowr Technologies sought to revolutionize residential lawn care with an intelligent, autonomous mowing system that combines precision GPS navigation, weather-aware scheduling, and smartphone integration. The goal was to create a mower that operates independently while providing homeowners complete control and visibility through a mobile app.

The Challenge

The project required developing a robust outdoor robotic system capable of operating in various weather conditions while maintaining precise navigation and safety protocols. Key challenges included creating reliable GPS-based boundary mapping, implementing obstacle detection and avoidance, designing weather-resistant electronics, and developing an intuitive mobile app for monitoring and control.

Our Solution

We engineered a dual-motor autonomous lawn mower featuring RTK-GPS for centimeter-level accuracy, LiDAR sensors for obstacle detection, and a weather-resistant enclosure with IP65 rating. The system includes a custom ESC with regenerative braking, modular battery packs for extended runtime, and a comprehensive mobile app for boundary mapping, scheduling, and real-time monitoring.
